Dean Moyar is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Johns Hopkins University. He is the author of Hegel’s Conscience and many essays on classical German philosophy. He is the editor of The Oxford Handbook of Hegel and The Routledge Companion to Nineteenth Century Philosophy. He is finishing a book on Hegel’s political philosophy and is engaged in a long-term project on the unity of theoretical and practical reason.
