Julien Bugnon is writing his PhD on introspection and self-awareness at the University of Fribourg (CH). His broader research interests include topics in the philosophy of mind (the role and nature of phenomenological reflection, the unity of consciousness, the conscious perspective), in metaphysics (the nature of subjects of experience and of conscious experiences), as well as in epistemology and value theory (the value of knowledge, the relation between consciousness and values). He is a member of EXRE, the Fribourg-based research center on mind and normativity.
