Virginia Ghiara
Virginia Ghiara is a Honorary Researcher at University of Kent. In 2019 she completed her PhD in Philosophy of Science at University of Kent, exploring how to use big data to establish causation in the social sciences. During her PhD she collaborated with Public Health England to design new tools to develop, deliver and monitor immunisation policies. After a visiting period at the School of Public Health of Imperial College London, in 2019 Virginia joined the evidence team of a UK What Works Centre. Her current research interests focus on evidence-based policies and evidential pluralism.
