Ricardo Navia has a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Language and Knowledge from the PUCRS (Porto Alegre, Brazil). He is currently Full Professor at the Philosophy Department of the University of the Republic of Uruguay (Udelar). His areas of work are: Epistemology, Metaphilosophy, and Philosophy of Pyschoanalysis. His current research focuses on the methodological and metaphilosophical implications of epistemological naturalism. He published Putnam: racionalidade, verdade e relativismo (Porto Alegre, 1998); Richard Rorty: emplazamiento a la tradición filosófica (Udelar, Uruguay, 2008), and Racionalidad, naturalism y filosofía (forthcoming in Brazil).
