Carlo Penco taught philosophy of language at the University of Genoa after studying under Michael Dummett. Along with study on Wittgenstein and Frege, his main areas of interest also include pragmatics, with an emphasis on indexicals and definite descriptions. He worked on the new Italian editions of Frege’s works alongside Eva Picardi.
