Francesco Barone-Adesi
Medical doctor, he graduated from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome, Italy (2000) and specialized in Occupational Medicine (2004) and Medical Statistics (2012). He also obtained a PhD in Environmental Medicine from Università di Bari, Italy (2008). He is currently associate professor of public health at the Università del Piemonte Orientale in Novara, Italy, and faculty at the joint International Doctoral Program in Global Health, Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Medicine (Università del Piemonte Orientale and Vrije Universiteit in Brussel, Belgium). His research interests include global health, disaster epidemiology, occupational and environmental epidemiology, statistical methods for epidemiology and public health, systematic reviews and meta-analyses. His research has been awarded by the US National Institutes of Health and the European Society of Cardiology. He is author of several peer-reviewed articles published in international scientific journals and widely presented at national and international congresses.
