Professor of Philosophy of Language at the University of Bologna, in charge of the Collegio Superiore from 2006 up to 2012, and actually in charge of the Cogito Center for Research in Philosophy.  His research is in ordinary language philosophy, Wittgenstein, Quine, Austin, Grice, theory of reference, truth, pictures, the notion of rule, conversational analysis.
